Arizona State running back Kalen Ballage scored an FBS-record eight touchdowns on an incredibly efficient 13 touches to help the Sun Devils defeat Texas Tech 68-55.
Six scores came in the wildcat, one on a 39-yard reception and his eighth score came on a 75-yard run where he outraced the Tech defense to the end zone.

That final touchdown made him one of five players in the FBS to have eight touchdowns in a game. The last person to accomplish this feat was Illinois fullback Howard Griffith against Southern Illinois in 1990.
Ballage finished with 13 carries for 137 yards and two catches for 48 yards.

To put Ballage’s night in perspective, his eight touchdowns were as many or more than Kent State, Miami-Ohio, Missouri, Louisiana-Monroe and Central Florida each had in 2015.
