The “Peter Forsberg” move is one of the most devastating dangles in hockey: a move where a shooter’s body is going one way while his stick is going the opposite way, and he tucks the puck past a baffled goalie. It was named for hockey legend Peter Forsberg, who once did this.
We usually see this move pulled off in a shootout or on a penalty shot. But on Saturday night, Arizona Coyotes forward Anthony Duclair unleashed the move on Nashville Predators goalie Carton Hutton and scored the final tally in their 4-0 win over the Preds at 19:46.
It was Duclair’s 12th goal of the season.
It actually came 2:09 after the Coyotes basically ended the game on Tobias Rieder’s empty net goal. So this was either an exclamation point on the victory or salt in the wound.
