sony ericsson w810i help please?

So i'm trying to put pictures on my computer from my phone. I installed the cd and then i plug it in. Then, 2 things happen: first it just keeps saying file transfer for ever and ever, nothing get transferred. Next if i go to the drive i plugged it in i can get to the pictures but then when i open pictures there are none. PLEASE SOME ONE HELP
