Why wont my computer play counter-strike source?
this makes no sense, my computer can play games such as battlefield 2142, world of warcraft etc, but when its counter strike source it just dosent work. I'll go to any map and it will load all the way then just freeze up and my cpu fans will rev really hard. Its weird because I was playing it fine like a few weeks ago. Right now I can only play fy_iceworld map, thats the only time it will let me play. Ive reinstalled steam and cs s, ive updated my drivers, idk what else to do.. help!
specs: PC Dell dimension E521 desktop
OS: Microsoft Windows XP Professional
graphics card- nVidia GeForce 7600 GT
processor- AMD Athlon (tm) 64 processor 3200+, MMX, 3DNow,~2.0GHz
RAM- 1022 MB
internet connection: verizon DSL
