In September I'll be taking a graphics design program at my college, and it's been suggested to me that I get a laptop to use for the my school work. I've been told that Macs are usually the best choice when it comes to image, video, and graphic editing, and I've done alot of research that proves the same thing. The only problem is that I haven't used a Mac too much to understand how to use them or how they work in general; I've mainly used PCs and Windows (XP) Operating Systems. So I wanted to know if there was a PC Laptop out there that, in terms of performance and specifications, is equivalent (or better) to the MacBook and/or MacBook Pro laptops for their respective costs? By costs, I mean the highest advertised price for each laptop (i.e. the highest [Canadian] pricing for the Macbook on Apple.ca is 49; the highest pricing for the Macbook Pro is 99). Or is it just better getting a Mac and learning how to use them? Any suggestions would help.
