How To Clean The Eye Lense On A Disc Drive...?

I am trying to reboot my computer after it crashed and it will not read the reboot discs. I think the lens is dirty, and when it doesn't read the disc it tells me the error in my computer which says:

Windows could not start because of an error in the software.
Please report this problem as :
load needed DLLs for kernel.

Any help?
