First link, which states the first known marijuana to the world... How many times have you heard of someone dying because of Over-Dose or Driving while Intoxicated and someone dies from it... Or wow, what about Diseases caused by smoking tobacco or chewing it... And yet, Marijuana was made illegal due to racism... Do research on that... And here's some help...

So please, tell me why its still illegal when your smoking tobacco and paying to die, then your sick, and pay to live... Sounds like the Government pulled one over on the world... And doesn't it state that we the people can over-throw a corrupted government... What about all the people in the government, helping the Mexican Cartel and others to bring ALL drugs in and notice how their pockets are pretty full huh? What about the economic crisis. California realized the stupidity in the government. Why wont anyone else realize... But if you can be legally tried as an adult at the age of 17. But can't buy ciggs or vote or buy lottery until 18. And you can buy alcohol until 21. Why should marijuana be the age 21? Oh, so the government can get you addicted to Ciggs before you take up marijuana. As well as how much advertisement for kids to smoke as well... Wow, the government is sooo great... Realize we the people are puppets to the government until they are over-thrown. Which will happen if they continue to kill us off with LEGAL drugs and their watching. Please give me any feed-back that you can for those who have an opposing answer or even questions.

Cause weed can affect other people by just being near them, cigs and pipes too, but cigs don't cause alc-type, impairment unlike weed. I guess that's the only reason. They don't care that being forced to breath all that secondhand crap in the sidewalk is long-term bad. Cigs are baad.

My husband has Secondary-Progressive Multiple Sclerosis whereas he is allotted 300 prepackaged marijuana cigarettes per month. However, I can't stomach the smell, so he takes the tablets. Please get off the bandwagon of cigs, alcohol, lottery tickets, etc.

because the government makes money on alcohol and tobacco .in so many words they are drug dealers ,but that's ok its the government they can do anything.no drug caused as many deaths as alchoal.and tobacco is up in the numbers too .how you think the Kennedy's made they're money

Ok marijuana is four times as likely to give you cancer than cigarettes for one.
And another argument for marijuana is that it is medical. It is typically used as an anti depressant and/or anti anxiety medicine. There are so many other drugs that can do this though so that it does not need to be legalized.
Perhaps what should happen instead is cigarettes be made illegal instead of marijuana being made legal but that will never happen sadly
