Why aren't my DVD-R & DVD+R playing on any pc or even DVD player?

I had recorded into them directly from TV using DVD-RW (which is multi function DVD player), but those DVDs play only in that DVD-RW player!
Any help will be appreciated, thx.
How do I finilize them?
I can play and watch them on my main DVD player though!

but not on any other DVD players which are in other room or even my own computer or computer at work!

One of them should play! Your PC may not be compatable with say +R, but shuold with the other, or vice versa! Some computers are compatable with both +, - formats, and some with just on of the two formats. Maybe you have a corrupted disk, or it didn't record the media.

Have you finalized burning your DVD, most DVDs will not play in another DVD player until you have finalized the DVD.
The exception is if you are using DVD+RW.

It could possibly be a problem with the burner itself.
