Is divx player safe to use and down load.?

I installed the free program from there main site and tried to convert a movie to play on my dvd player and then burn it to a dvd. As the dvd was ending the burn it came up with a error and did not finish properly. Now when i try to play a original dvd in the computer drive it will not play it. Can anyone help me Please.

Yes divx is safe to download and use. What I like about it is once you download and install it you can use windows media player to watch those divx and .avi movies.

Go into your device manager by right clicking my computer, select hardware tab, device manager, click the + next to dvd/cd and right click and uninstall. Reboot the PC to reinstall dvd rom drivers and it should work.
