you can use any its just a matter of quality.

Regular dvd players play regular dvds

Upconverting- plays regular dvds and upconverts the quality to a better quality. It is NOT hd

HD Players- Play hd movies and regular dvds

Blu ray- Plays blu ray and regular

Combos- Play hd, blu ray, and regular dvds

no a normal dvd player works fine. for your dvd player you can buy cords for near HD quality.

No. Use the component outs or S- video.

no... hd dvd players play hd dvd's, and dvd players play dvd's...i know its tricky

You Can...but You Might Consider An Upconvert Dvd Player...it Will Play Standard Dvd's But Increases The Picture Quality On An Hdtv....amazon Has Some Below 100.00

can u play regular/normal dvd's on a HDTV? becuz ive been told that if you want to watch a dvd on an HDTV you need to buy a HD,DVD player to watch them on a HDTV, so is that true?
