Will the xbox 360 hd dvd player play games?

the regular disc drive on my 360 is getting worse by the day. Instead of getting it fixed or buying a used 360, i was just gonna pickup the hd dvd player since i want one anyways. will it play the games from that drive if i get it? that way i can avoid the problems im having with the regular drive

No it will not play games it is a video player only.

no you cant, but if you are having driver problems you might be able to have Microsoft foot the bill on a 360 for you. I would give them a call. If that does not work, just hope your 360 gets the red lights in a few weeks and then they will take care of it for sure!
