does anyone know how to play divx, xvid, or avi's before they are fully downloaded?

my brothers vista laptop can play avi's before they are fully downloaded(stream). Does anyone know how to do this in xp / windows media player 11?

It will play them, only if they are mostly downloaded. If you look closely, you will see the video skip a little, because the file is missing information.
