Since most Paramount movies are made for HD DVD and not Blu-Ray you obviously need a HD DVD player to get the full experience of high def 1080p. The DVD player that you picked out will NOT play the box set you have selected on the HD side only the original side. It does have up scaling capabilities but it will not show a true 1080p resolution. In order to show the true high def resolution take a look at some of the Toshiba HD players. They will still play your older DVD's and upscale them as well. It will also be able to play the box set you picked on either side and more importantly in the true HD 1080p resolution.
    Hope this helped.
