unreal tournament 3 for pc?

i hav ut3 for pc,i kan play and it everythang .I hav a problem though, the game is not installed on my computer,so i hav downloaded mods and maps but everytime i start the game the mods and maps arent there.So how do i put it in the game.Do i have to install the game.
