When was the last time you heard the "Ice Cream Truck" in your neighborhood?

Most all of us, as children, were probably always happy to hear the "Ice Cream Truck" playing that happy tune as it slowly made its way down the street. I'd jump up & down & ask my mom if I could have some money to buy a frozen treat. Those memories came rushing back today, as I heard & saw the "Ice Cream truck" makes it way down my street. What a total surprise!
jeremy....Not in my neighborhood!!!

As long as it's profitable, that bit of nostalgia will be around.

We have the Ice Cream Truck come to my neighborhood all summer.

Short stuff that's not fair we still are having winter up here in the north, and we wont see an ice cream truck till June
When I was a kid we lived way out in the country, and there was no "Good Humor" man there, but sometimes I would be at my older sisters house in the city, oh what a treat, hearing those happy tunes

I have not heard the ice cream truck in several years. I think city government stopped them because it was easier to stop kids from running across the street to the truck than it is to stop some guy with noisy pipes who wants us all to be aware of how cool his car sounds. They banned the ice cream trucks because even in the quiet neighborhoods, the kids were in danger from inattentive drivers. How sad!

Ahhhh the memory. It was just last summer at my son's in Wichita. My little grandson(18 months old then) and I stopped him and bought some ice cream cones. But ya know.....somehow it just wasn't the same. I don't know if it was being in the city, or because it wasn't the 1960's. Anyway, it was still fun.
