Are blackberry cases harmful to non-blackberry phones?

My mom would like to use my new blackberry case with her new samsung phone, she seems to now be loosing service and dropping calls since she's been using it. Do you think it is messing up her sim card?

Possibly. Maybe it's too thick to let the service thru. Once, long ago, when I owned a razr, I bought a glittery case at a mall kiosk. Everytime I used the case, I would get NO signal. Turns out, the metal in the glitter was interfering with my signal. It wouldn't be messing up her sim card, it would be messing up her signal. Tell her to check her bars when she has the phone case on. I'm sure there are similar cases for the Samsung, especially on Ebay.
