What is the difference between a slip-on exhaust and a full exhaust on a sports bike?

I am planning to buy an 08 Kawasaki Ninja 250r and I was looking at Yoshimura exhausts and Leo Vince exhausts and I was wondering which would be a better pick. I also wanted to know if I should get the slip-on or full exhaust...

Idk, I'm thinking the slip on is just the silencer like the end of it and a full is all the way up to the engine and Ninja 250's sound like crap no matter what exhaust you put on them. There cheap, slow and sound like fourwhellers but the 2008 models do look good. They way I look at it is that your insurance will be high because its considered a sport bike when it will only hit 100mph. I did look into buying one because of the price and looks but the sound and cost of insurance is what turned me against buying one, just keep the stock exhaust cause it will never sound like a 600cc bike or 1000, ninjas just have a bad sound in general.
