Telus phone-- can i have another provider?

ok so I have a Telus phone and i am using pay as you go..
but with telus it is 40 cents per minute.. which means that my minutes go by reallyyyy fast.. my question is if i can keep my phone but use pay as you go with virgin instead because it is only 10 cents per minute..

so can i use a virgin pay as you go card on a telus phone? or is there any other way i can not be paying 40 cents per minute.. im only paying a month..

    thnx

You can't use a TELUS phone on Virgin Mobile or visa-versa. If you buy a TELUS $25 top-up card your per minute rate will be 25 cents and will stay at that rate as long as you don't let your balance reach $0. Just top-up with your normal $10 before the expiry or you run out of minutes. 25 cents a minute is as low as TELUS goes. I just checked Virgin Mobile's webpage and their cheapest rate is 30 cents per minute unless you pay $10 a month for the 'privilege' of paying 10 cents per minute .
