ok well im at&t but i want a blackberry pearl and the one i want is t-mobile..so will i be able to still use it? and is there a spot for my sim card? will it work?

You need to Unlock it from network to use any GSM Network Sim card...You can get the Unlock code from the site Onlinegsmunlock.com and unlock it...then use any other GSM Sim card.
