Why my laser printer Clp-310 Samsung waste too much toner?

With the starter toner cartriges, I just printed 250 color pages and the cyan, yellow and magenta are almost empty.

I just bought a magenta toner and it wasted 6% in just 20 pages, even with the manual color settings low.

250 sounds pretty good to me and 10% of 250 is 25 so 6% in 20 pages is nothing so terrible. Printers are relatively cheap. The profit comes from the cartridges which are expensive but don't last so long. In the case of a basic inkjet printer, the cartridge can cost the same as the actual printer did
