Will Rock Band PS2 Controllers Work For PS3?

I was wondering... I was going to buy Rock Band for PS3, but I wanted to buy the PS2 game. Are the cords on the guitar, drums, and microphone only for PS2? Would I need to get an adapter?
 
No, you have to get the PS3 controllers. The PS2 ones won't work, even if you have a PS3 where the PS2 disc will work.
