Any new phones planned for ATT soon? (Text messaging specific)?

Going with brand new phones isn't always a good idea because nobody knows how to deal with all the kinks that they usually have and issues like that. If you are due for an upgrade I would definitely recommend any of the blackberry devices. I have one now and it is the longest I have had any phone without it malfunctioning or breaking. It is a truly great phone and it isn't just for business like everything thinks it is.
