I've been raised in a strictly Christian family and for the best part of my life I've been that way. Now I'm finally asking questions and I've realised how ignorant I've been. Perhaps raising a child within a religion before they can even think for themselves is practically abuse? It's difficult to escape that level of psychological conditioning. I'm having a lot of trouble trying to see past a mental block of religion. I've seen the documentary 'Jesus Camp' and, to be quite honest, it's terrifying.

So what are your thoughts? Should religious families dogmatise children from the day they are born or should they let them have a choice? Surely born again Christians should understand the importance of making their own decision?
