Well..I finally have enough money to buy an iPhone (which is pretty expensive here in my Country) but I hear a lot of people saying that they dislike their iPhone and should have gotten some other phone instead. Now I don't have AT&T to worry about so AT&T "bad signal" problem in future my iPhone which a lot of people are complaining about...So Do you think its a good idea to buy an iPhone?

Well, I believe that it would be wise to THINK about it. See, the iPhone 3G has 3G but it is only used for internet and connectivity. The iPhone doesn't have video calling, no bluetooth transfer (only for bt headset), etc. But it does have office (Word, Powerpoint, Excel, PDF viewers) and a nice web browser (HTML). Also, it has regular cellphone capabilities like music, pictures, video, call and text. It's a wise choice if you want to have style not features.

But the iPhone wouldn't be a wise choice if you want productivity and features. See, there are a lot of phones out there (with and without touchscreen) which are better than the iPhone (say the N95 for example) because they have more features that beat the iPhone (like the N95's Video Card for great gaming, N96's DVB-H for mobile TV, HTC Touch HD for HD Viewing, etc.)

My suggestion is that you find 3-4 alternatives before getting the iPhone and see if it really suit your needs. It's not wise to get something popular if it doesn't have the right features for you; there are a lot of alternatives, believe me.
