I formatted and reinstalled XP Pro on this PC. Connected it to the internet using firefox 3. And within several hours my PC performance has decreased exponentially when I do not have any other programs or processes running that are not required for windows to run properly. Mostly core processes. I thought it might be spyware or malware from the internet but After I installed Norton Internet Security 2008 and Spybot 3. And ran scans revealing nothing. I cannot figure out how to fix these issues.
The computer is used by children, they play allot of flash games, myspace, and youtube. if that provides any extra info.
