Anyone who's used Ativan, how long before the side effects subside?

Mainly, it just totally wipes me out. Which if I'm needing to sleep is great, otherwise its hard to function. I was wondering from personal experience how long before your side effects eased off?

I never took Ativan on a constant basis, it was as needed so I'm afraid I can't help you very much. At night it would calm me enough to sleep but when I took it during the day it would sooth an oncoming panic attack enough for me to function.
Talk to your doctor about your dosage or if you're on it 'around the clock'
my experience with Ativan was overall good--much better than similar medications.
