The 80 gig is the best by far. It has four usb ports, plays ps1 and ps2 games. Don't worry about the size of the Hard drive you can always upgrade it later very very easily.

the new 80 GB cannot play ps2 or ps1 games or have the card reader i don't know about the usb

no the more expensive one have 4 usb and 3 memory card slots.
