    i just got a 49cc pocket bike what are the laws? i want to drive it to

    work on the highway.? i live in illinois ,.

    not sure about the city laws there but here in cali, u get cited and ur 49cc pocket bike gets impounded bro. it's crazy here issay

    you can NOT take a 49cc pocket bike on the highway. there's no way, it's not nearly fast enough.

    you can't even take a 250cc dirt bike on the highway.

    not to mention, it doesn't have a plate, or title which means it isnt road legal


    also i've heard that people have had their pocket bikes taken from them for various reasons. if you're driving around your neighbourhood, a neighbour could get annoyed by the sound, call the police, and the police could seize the bike, (or do other things like just tell you to stop using it) because the noise can be classified as a public disturbance. and of course, it probably isnt road legal
