runing the mile really helps...but mostly with the long distance runners.
si id try more shrt distances and time yourself!
try to get a better time every time you run.
and dont forget to hydrate yourself and ALWAYS stretch before you run!

...for sprints? I'm trying out for track and i want to do sprints
I've been running like miles to get in shape and stuff but I really want to know what exactly to do to get myself ready...
anybody wanna help? like how
 
Well how long are you running is it the 400, 800,etc. For warm ups you should stretch ALWAYS before you run and do a few strides or mild jogs.
