No, stats prove otherwise. Just because atheists can shout loud, doesn't mean there's more of them.

I know there is a lot of false teaching in America about what a Christian is and how they are suppose to live.

Yep, and because people are getting more intelligent.

I think that atheists, agnostics, and free-thinkers take up more of a percentage than statistics show.

I think there is a lot of confusion in America. There are more "religions" than you can shake a stick at. Bible believing Christians are coming under real condemnation, and unfortunately some churches, and some Christians, are hemming and hawing and trying to be politcally correct, so they veer off God's word.

Fortunately there are also a great number of Christians who will never do this.

There are many more 'christians' who aren't really christian, yes.

I suppose because of a better education standard then the last generation got.

Yes, Atheism and Agnosticism are growing very rapidly. about 1% more Americans a year lose religion I believe...

It probably has to do with the fact that our economy is more hi tech based than ever before, and that requires that our population is much more educated in scientific principles, and as such, they are more and more exposed to secular ideas that have advanced us incredibly over the years...
