what can blu-ray/dvd players play?

do blu-ray/dvd players play dvd r's and dvd rw's? not all my movies are blu ray. any suggestions on good players, reasonably priced. salesmen confuse me.

bluray players only play bluray disks but dvd players cannot. Bluray disks and players are very very very high quality.

go to http://www.tigerdirect.com they have good cheap blueray players. a blueray player can play mostly any disc format since its the best player out there so yes any cd you stick in it it will play since blue ray is at the top of the chain atm

if you want a good blu-ray player you mine aswell just get a 40 gb ps3. you can play games if you like, but its also the same price if not cheaper than most blu ray players..and it plays all media, dvd, cd, blu ray everything basically.

A Blu-Ray player will play DVDs and probably DVD-R/RW.

Check the box before you buy one to be sure.
