Requiring students to Wear uniforms would solve a number of problems. First, psychologists have shown that students who dress neatly and attractively actually perform better in their classroom. Secondly, uniforms remove the stigma of children from poorer families who are not able to afford designer clothing. Thus the children from the well-to-do families who can afford designer clothes would not be seen as "Better off", placing all kids on a more or less equal basis
