I'm a very stupid guy. I hit a fire truck while it had it's sirens on(I was 17). Now I'm 18. I've read that it takes 5 years to clear any accident/tickets in your records.
Is there anything I can do to shorten the 5 years to, lets say 2 years?
Or do I just have to wait 5 years and deal with it?
I've never gotten any tickets, any other accidents. Just one thing in my records, the fire truck accident.
I'm getting ready to buy a car. I did online quotes from major insurance companies (geico, mercury, aaa, etc), and they all came out about the same. $500~ per month.
Any help would be very much appreciated and will be given 10 pts : O)
