question about bmw ipod integration? anyone?

i integrated my ipod into my bmw, and its all good..but its weird is it supposed to be that the screen only says "click ok to disconnect" and i cant control the music with the ipod itself...and i can only control the music from the ipod from the buttons on the car itself..which is kinda annoying cuz the screen fits like 3 music names at a time..so im forced to make playlists just for the car. is that normal, or am i supposed to be able to control the music with the ipod?

Get speakers for your ipod.
or
Complain to BMW, cuz that's just how they set up the ipod integration system.
