to a prepaid line & if so, how? 1 year remains on my 2 year Verizon contract. They suck. Their phones are intentionally modified to prevent the phone's true capabilities and to make sure you have no choice but to pay Verizon for any extras (ringtones,wallpaper, etc).
I recently recieved a letter from Verizon stating that my warranty and insurance has been voided because I removed their version of Microsoft Mobile OS and installed my own. They also attempted to charge me for internet/data access when I bought a SDIO Wifi card for my Treo and surfed the net on my home network- not using their data plan or network at all.
So... I want to transfer my current phone number to a prepaid line (AT&T). At this point, I can care less about what happens to my Verizon contract, I'd save $ if I cancel my contract and pay the cancelation fee. The important item is keeping my current phone number.
I've decided on prepaid, I'm so over cell contracts. Can someone out there please help?
