    my 2001 ford ranger 3.0 is running bad?

    ok i just changed the plugs and wires and its still running rough. it does not accelerate correctly anymore. it only pulled one code and it said cyl 1 misfire before i changed the plugs and wires. can anyone attempt to help?

    You might have a bad coil pack. Have Auto Zone check your codes and reset them (free). Is this 24 valve engine, or reg??? Changing the wires is more often than not a waste of money. Most after market wires do not function as well as the factory units. I hope you are using either Bosch Platinum or Nippondenso Iridium. It is the best way to get the most from your engine.
