i want a VW bug for my bday and everyone is telling me that there is no retail value on them and that there tooooo much money?? is this true!! when i did drivers ed i used the bettles and i love them..im so use to driving that that i dont want to get another car and im not gonna like it!! what do u think?

Are VW's really a bad car to get?

They are GREAT cars. They were designed for use on the Autobahn (high speeds). They have done v. well in crash tests. They are fuel efficient and F U N. You are better off with a used one that still has the factory warranty on it. (Save $$$$) You must use oil that meets VW/Audi specification 402/405. (read this as Mobil one or ELF oil). This will extend your warranty!!!! You must also use only genuine VW coolant, brake fluie, and power steering fluid. Get used to it!
