Is this a good deal to have my OS reinstalled?

We have a local computer repair shop and I asked him to install XP he said
" It should be done in 2 days. What I'm gonna do is install XP with SP 3 Antivirus software and Office 08".

I don't have an XP disc so I can't do this.

The total comes to $120 plus 72 cents in tax

Reinstall yourself.

Buy the OS if you can't find the disc or if you had a bootleg ripoff OS to start with.

There is no way that this guy is installing a legitimate copy of XP and Office 2008 for $120. A copy of XP along probably costs close to that.

It's a good price, but you're taking a big risk on the legality.

Ask him if you can have the original software licenses afterward. See what he says.

Damn hes ripping you off. You can call Microsoft and they'll send you a back up disk if its the first time you lost it. SP 3? I use Avast! it scans everything you download automatically. Even if you post a picture on the internet it scans it to make sure theirs no spyware or virus. If it catches a virus it puts it in a chest and when the chest gets full. It will eliminate all the virus threats.
