When I do pushups, my shoulder pops out of its socket. What should I do?

It doesn't really HURT, per se, but rather it feels very awkward and makes doing pushups very frustrating.

What should I do? It happens whether I put my elbows out or keep them in.
 
There are other excercises that work your chest and shoulders. Try assisted dips or bench presses.
