    Is this safe? (electrical)?

    I want to ground my proto board..so im going to cut a 3 brong plug and rip out the neutral and live prongs and leave JUST the ground prong in it, if i plug this in will it
    a) work properly as a ground
    b) blow up my wall socket
    or
    c) cause WW3

    please help?
    Ya i do actually i just started practicing with logic gates in school and i want to get some extra experience @ home, thanks=D

    That's one way to do it, and it shouldn't cause any problems. The ground plug won't fit into either of the electrical slots so you can't accidentally plug it into the live electric part of your house wiring. If you need the ground, it's one way to get it.
