Why so much drama in the "rap game"?

OK, so my fiance has been coming in every night and catching up on his daily soap opera, the "beef" between Rick Ross and 50 Cent. I can't take it anymore.

It seems like the rap game is becoming more and more like wrestling.

Your thoughts?
R-Jay: Maybe that's the problem I am having. I don't find it entertaining. It's getting sad.
 
Keeps people talking, of course they are both in on it fueling the flames. It's good for business.
 
its all about entertainment and promotion. promoting your music is jus as important as how the music is nowadays u have to capture ppls attention, both ross and 50 cent have albums coming out soon, so as entertaining as it is, especially 50 cent as curly the pimp, it is all for publicity
