I got a jail broken and unlocked iphone. If i were to upgrade the iphone firmware using itune would everything in it be deleted? and i have to do the whole jail breaking process again?

basically, you would be screwed. Because the iphone will become bricked; meaning the whole time the phone is on, it will have a picture of it telling you to connect to itunes and even if you connect to itunes, nothing happens.
YOU WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO USE THE PHONE PERIOD.
