...connections in your neighborhood? Is there a free prog I can download that shows u the wireless internet connections in your neighborhood? And where they are coming from? I use to have one on my old laptop and it was like a round circle compass showing you the diff networks in the neighborhood and how far they were. Anything like that?

There are programs like that. One is http://www.netstumbler.com/ that will show you all the wireless networks within range and then their strength, but not a map of where they are located.

Well, there are several programs that do what you are asking, perhaps one of the most popular wireless listener programs is wireshark. But I'm not sure why you would care where it's coming from, since if a program can pick it up you can use it.

Hopefully you don't though, that's kind of illegal.
