Is 'temporary internet files' the same as your 'favorites' on your computer?

I'm cleaning out my laptop...but I don't want my favorites to be deleted, and it is asking if i want to delete my 'temporary internet files'...if i delete these, are my favorites going to be gonee???

no, temp internet files are files put on your computer from websites so the next time you go to them it loads faster. You can get rid of them and cookies and that won'[t effect anything.

Temporary Internet files are not the same as favorites. They are also NOT cookies as someone else has stated in his answer.
