Detention and my Dad wants me to apologize?

Ok so i got detention n its not my first time or ne thing but they called my dad n he s lik all mad n basically i was talking n my teacher was in a bad mood n i was late so add that all up n she gave me a detention. Once i got home my dad was mad n he said i want u to apologize now i ahv no problem with this but lik i think its unnecessary i mean evry 1 talks rite
