I once heard a quote that said: " If you are a Liberal, and 10 years have gone by and not a single idea has changed, you have became a Conservative"

A modern conservative is a liberal that decided that thinking is too much trouble.

Conservatives just set it on cruise control and let Limbaugh do their thinking for them.

Earlier I thought of Winston Churchill's famous quote: "If by age 20 you're not a liberal, you have no heart. If by age 40 you're not a conservative, you have no head."

I sort of took exception to that!

The answer is NO. Mid-Life Crisis is only a passing event in
the life of a woman, being a Conservative is usually a life-long
choice of being right and loving truth.

A conservative is an older liberal who awoke one morning and realized how much of his money was being wasted on nonsense by the government. After you get a job, you will have a similar epiphany. The government gets 35% of my check, and they still can't get the lines painted on the road, or get the schools to work, even though they keep building new ones.....

No, a Conservative is a liberal who has grown up. This transformation usually starts after one leaves his parents, gets his first job and pays taxes. The transformation usually is complete after the first child.

Some leave their parents late or stay in school too long. These are the professors who still wear thew earth shoes and are influenced by http://www.dsausa.org/dsa.html

Others never finished school and are flipping burgers and waiting for another rise in the min wage.

Hey , I know, I was a liberal in college then I learned that being stupid does not pay the bills.

As some get older they worry about money more than in their youth. This can make them mean spirited, with a lack of compassion that they may have had in their younger years. They become the old fogies they once mocked

Let me guess- Churchill was well beyond the age of forty when he said that. PS, you forgot the Heartless Part. If your going to quote do so accurately.

no,conservative are people that can think ,and they have learned that liberalism is a bad thing

Conservatives live in a dream world as too how they wish it to be. Liberal face facts as they lay and are willing to deal with reality.

I was once conned into thinking I was a conservative. Then I grew up.

That wasn't Churchill's quote.

The quote implies "liberals" are young and idealistic but not realistic. They think they can save the whole world with government.

Conservatives as they grow older realize this isn't true.

A conservative is someone who can't get chicks anymore (or they never could get them in the first place), so they get resentful, bitter and lash out at everyone.

The funny thing is, liberals are covered in chicks. So why don't the conservatives learn. Be liberal...get chicks!
