Hi

I am planning to do Electrical Engineering this year at Leicester University. I am planning to take on 5 years MEng plan with 1 year at industry.

I am very interested in engineering but a bit worried about learning it. I want to achieve really high marks in this degree. My weak point is that I haven't done physics. Do you think I will be able to cope with it? Will books help? as most of it is practical which confuses me even more.

Also once I graduate which places can I work at in UK. What sort of sallary I expect? What is CEng and will that boost up my career even more?

I heared many people saying that engineering is a dying career and I shouldn't choose it because by the time I finish my degree in 5 years it wont be good at all in UK.

Please help me with this.

Engineers are here to stay .. who do you think is designing all the electronics that we all love so much..

im an electrical engineer. i have been working for almost 5 years with a very nice sallary and good position. im telling you now,, nothing better than engineering these days and in future. just go a head and do it. "NO ASK"

Hello, I live in the US and am currently studying EE. It is a very exciting and challenging degree. So far, physics hasn't been that bad. In my opinion, engineering is the most exciting and rewarding career there is to offer- especially electrical because it's so broad. This world will always need engineers and scientists to make the the world a better place. You should go for it, you wont be disappointed in the end. GOOD LUCK!
