Do people recommend Vancouver (British Columbia) for a holiday in March?

I'm thinking of going there to visit a friend, but know little about Canada . Is March a good time to go? What will the weather be like and is there lots to do?

The reason I was thinking of going in March is because I have a work trip to Los Angeles in March and thought I could fit in the trip to Canada after that.

No, don't go in March, its freezing and will hover above zero. Wait until June to July, thats when our weather is really nice. If you plan to go skiing your on the wrong side of the mountains.

March is a great time to visit. Although, weather is unpredictable especially this year, you generally can count on RAIN in Vancouver. But if there is a little bit of sun all the locals will be out and doing stuff. Yes, lots to do, but I'm sure your friend will know what.
