does a 07 plate 3 series bmw have a pass air bag de-activation switch?

thinking abt buying one and need 2 have child seat in front,any info welcome,thanks
 
No. It has something better. It has what is called an OC3 mat which is mounted under the seat cover that can detect weather there is a person or an object in the seat by where the weight is distributed. basically, it detects the difference between butt-cheaks and a car seat. the pass. airbag default is deactivated until it senses a human sitting in the seat. you are perfectly safe. there is a light by the visor that confirms weather or not it is deactivated, so you know. if there is ever any fault in the system, the default is always OFF

No, but the dealer can deactivate & reactivate it using diagnostic equipment.
