can anyone explain why when you drive round a corner or a roundabout you tend to get a cold draft even when the heating is on and windows are closed. it is not just my car this happens with as it has happened in a few cars i been in and also my work transit van.

Depends on the vehicle and how fast you go round the bend. Its probably the frame or chassis twisting slightly leaving a gap in the seal.
Or maybe your window is just open.

In over twenty years, I've driven hundreds of vehicles, and I'm on my fifth Transit. I can honestly say I've never experienced this phenomenon in any vehicle.
